Lights, Videomapping and Festive Magic

From December 7th to January 6th, Comacchio and its coastal villages are dressed in lights and magic, making the destination a perfect place to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere.

Lights in Comacchio Historic Center

On December 7th at 5:30 PM, Piazzetta Trepponti will host the official inauguration of the Christmas lights, with the City Council marking the beginning of a unique festive atmosphere. This year, the historic center’s decorations are inspired by the archaeological theme “Luci di Spina”, a tribute to the ancient Etruscan city, accompanied by a beautiful soundtrack of Christmas melodies.

Two archaeology-themed videomappings will further enchant visitors: projections on the façades of the Antiche Carceri in via Pescheria and via Agatopisto tell luminous stories that blend Comacchio’s millennial history with the magic of Christmas.

Lights in San Giuseppe, Porto Garibaldi, and Lido degli Estensi

San Giuseppe will be illuminated with decorations along the main streets and Piazza Rimembranza, while in Porto Garibaldi, the main streets will be enlivened by a magical light route, accompanied by Christmas carols in Viale Ugo Bassi and Piazza Tre Agosto.

From December 6th, 2025, to January 8th, 2026, Viale Carducci in Lido degli Estensi hosts “A Christmas Fairy Tale”, a unique experience combining decorative lights and dynamic projections. The centerpiece of the event is the “Talking Tree”, a large trunk transformed into the narrator of a Christmas story, coming to life every holiday and pre-holiday, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, every 15 minutes.
