The pink flamingos

The wetland area of the Po Delta Park, due to its size and strategic position halfway between northern Europe and Africa, provides an ideal environment where migratory birds can break their journey. Among these, the pink flamingos periodically populate the salt pans of Comacchio, forming the largest colony in Italy after the Sardinian one.
You can see these birds thanks to our itineraries which are designed to allow visitors to photograph the pink flamingos without running the risk of disturbing them; in the Salt Pans of Comacchio and throughout the Park of the Po Delta special hides have been provided for birdwatching, which the area is perfect for given its large variety of birdlife.

WHAT TO DO
For those who want to live only in summer the Lidos of Comacchio, but without losing the opportunity to go to festivals, such as the Festival of Hospitality around mid-August.
