I am absolutely in love with my area so much that I made a choice that may seem easy in people's eyes, but it is not at all: I chose to take a bathing establishment right here, where I was born. A space to be revived with my own maybe and those of my partners.
Staying is much harder than running away.

I started this business together with my partner after four winters abroad. I felt I needed to perfect my English so I left; I went to California, then Canada, England. Around the world I represented just the stereotype of the average Italian, easygoing, outgoing, so I never struggled to integrate and find employment. My 'English mom' was very good friends with the manager of Jamie Oliver's restaurant so she took me to dinner, introduced me to him, and he told me to perfect quickly. My English I would then be hired with a snap of my fingers!

After these experiences abroad, at 30 years old, putting yourself out there at home is difficult but it is a great, great satisfaction. Today Capohoorn Beach is a tourism business that after 12 years works with a beautiful clientele consisting of a very high percentage of foreigners. We have put ourselves in a position to understand the needs of foreign tourism, and not just our loyalists, to build a European tourist pool around our business. Much to our surprise, in this 2021 we also saw many Austrians! There are also as many as two Norwegian families who choose to come back to us every year; they also hosted me in Norway: it is nice when we create these synergies, these exchanges, this communication.

The greatest satisfaction, in this job, is definitely the clients. The trust they place in us, the fact that we act as promoters in the first person, but above all they come back because they feel at home here. It may seem trivial, but the bathhouse is like a small town, a neighborhood: after a while everyone gets to know each other and develops a certain sense of belonging.

I remember once, a child from the Czech Republic got lost and ended up here with us. He was not a customer of the bathhouse; he had just arrived at the campsite with his family, caught up in the desire to see the sea and had wandered off. He stayed with us for a good 12 hours, ate and played with the boys, all while we tried to find his family by calling the carabinieri, the campsites, etc. He did not experience a single moment of anguish together with us. At one point the mother came to pick him up in tears! The child had been so well, he had felt so at home that the mother sent us a gift to thank us! This is precisely our goal: to make those who come from afar feel at home!
I am also very active in social work, I carry out projects to support and help. I like helping people, being with people, lending a hand unconditionally, trying to be something more. This is an innate characteristic: those who have this nature will eventually love a job that can allow them to be with people, to lend a hand.

Of my territory I love the fact that it always, constantly amazes me. Nothing is taken for granted here, everything transforms; at the change of a light, of every hour of the day, of the seasons, you can discover different details and landscapes that generate incredible emotions.
Some time ago we made a video, with Delta Cinematica, by Maurizio Cinti; 'Invisible and Visible' the title, to tell the stories of some people left without support during the pandemic, a project supported by the Municipality of Comacchio. Some scenes of this video were shot at Casone Donnabona, at sunset: in that context, with the flamingos flying over our heads, the sun coloring the water, I got emotional.
I was born and raised here, and after 42 years this area still manages to amaze me.
