Halloween in Comacchio

For two nights, Comacchio stops being itself. Among bridges, canals and the lanes of the old town, shadows, creatures and presences appear as if from another time: the historic centre becomes the perfect set for the most mysterious night of the year.

It’s a Halloween made for children, families and curious visitors of all ages, best enjoyed on foot: market stalls, funfair, games, costumes, themed flavours and surprises around every corner.

Not to be missed

The parades. The heart of the event starts from Piazzetta Trepponti: music, fire and fantastical creatures in Friday’s Horror Parade; roaming shows, the “band of terror” and three-metre-tall performers on Saturday.

The fire ritual. On Saturday evening, at the Museo del Delta Antico, an entertainment of flames and music. At 23:00, the great ritual battle between the forces of Good and Evil follows at Piazzetta Luca Danese.

The grand finale. From 23:30 to 02:00 in Trepponti, Lady 90 Halloween Edition: dance, eurodance, house and big ’90s hits with DJs, vocalists and live entertainment.

For the little ones (and the bravest). The great “Trick or Treat?” hunt, the Pumpkin House with its carving workshop and “Most Beautiful Pumpkin” contest, monster face-painting and professional make-up.

Atmosphere everywhere. A horror trail in the Antica Pescheria, selfie spots along the bridges, fortune-telling, “bloodied” roast chestnuts, and themed shop windows competing for “The Most Horrible Display” award.
