Within the framework of the CULTURECOVERY project, a European project funded by the CENTRAL EUROPE program, an agreement was signed between ecomuseums and tour operators to strengthen the promotion and communication of tourism offers and resources of the Delta area.
The CULTURECOVERY project involved 6 European countries (Austria, Croatia, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, Hungary) and a total of 9 partners. The goal of CULTURECOVERY was to concretely transform a "vague perception" of intangible cultural heritage into a concrete visible and clearly perceptible feature of an area's identity as a potential that can be exploited for economic growth, starting precisely from the enhancement of ecomuseums.
The collaboration agreement is between the 3 ecomuseums of the Emilia-Romagna Delta that have participated in the project since its inception (Ecomuseo del Cervo e del Bosco della Mesola, the Ecomuseum of Argenta and the Ecomuseum delle Erbe Palustri di Villanova di Bagnacavallo) and some of the main tourism operators in the area, such as the Po Delta Tourism consortium, Aqua srl and Giratlantide as well as the GAL DELTA 2000 of Ostellato.
The main purpose is to cooperate jointly to strengthen the tourism proposal of our intangible cultural heritage also to attract local and non-local visitors to our territories through the promotion of those riches, those testimonies, those resources that are guarded and enhanced by the ecomuseums but that need support to foster their promotion also outside the territory.
