In 2025, Ferrara and its province celebrate two significant anniversaries: 30 years as a World Heritage Site and 10 years of the Po Delta as a UNESCO MaB Reserve.
The projectFestina Lentehonors these anniversaries by inviting the slow discovery of the wonders of the territory through a file rouge of itineraries, linking together the cities of Ferrara, Comacchio and Ostellato.
A unique experience, retracing environments of sublime charm: from the evocative landscapes of the Comacchio Valleys to the historic Walls that encircle the city of Ferrara, crossing the landscapes of the Renaissance Delizie Estensi.
To top it all off, a rich calendar of events, which will begin on February 22 in Comacchio. The Manifattura dei Marinati will open its doors to host a Renaissance Banquet evoking the splendor of the Este court, during which chef Igles Corelli, in the role of the legendary Cristoforo da Messisbugo, will propose a menu that combines culinary tradition and innovation, for a gastronomic journey back to the 16th century.
The event will follow among Renaissance banquets, show cooking with star chefs and historical parades.Among the most anticipated initiatives will be the Gala Dinner of the Este scheduled for the end of October, the Grand Renaissance Banquet of Messisbugo by Chef Carlo Cracco.
