A Successful Debut at the CMT in Stuttgart
The region’s participation in major international tourism trade shows has gotten off to a very positive start.
The CMT in Stuttgart, scheduled for January 17–25, 2026, is the first stop on a promotional tour that will continue throughout the year with B2C trade shows and promotional and business meetings with industry operators and professionals.
The first weekend of the fair drew approximately 72,000 visitors, confirming the public’s strong interest in new travel ideas, authentic experiences, and nature-based vacations. This marks an encouraging start for the world’s largest public fair dedicated to tourism and leisure, and it is also an important sign for our destination.
Visitors showed great interest in cycling tourism, river tourism, and outdoor experiences.
Until Sunday, January 25, you’ll find us at the Visit Emilia Romagna booth to showcase Ferrara, Comacchio, and the Po Delta, highlighting a destination rich in character where cultural heritage, landscape, and slow tourism converge.
CMT is also a key event for the camping and caravanning world, a rapidly growing segment that aligns particularly well with the characteristics of our region, which offers open spaces, slow travel routes, and facilities ideal for an outdoor vacation.
Participating in international trade shows is a key opportunity to meet with buyers and specialized media, as well as an important chance to gauge market sentiment.
Following Stuttgart, the calendar will continue with FITUR in Madrid, BIT in Milan, and FREE in Munich, to continue showcasing and promoting Ferrara, Comacchio, and the Po Delta on international markets, highlighting an authentic, sustainable, and increasingly experience-oriented tourism offering.
