From Comacchio to the Right Bank of the Po

The itinerary, just a stone’s throw from the sea in the Ferrara province, is full of stop-offs to enjoy art, forests and nature, in the most significant places in the Po Delta Park. From South to North the route takes in the Valli di Comacchio, the famous lagoons with eels and thousands of species of birds, including the beautiful pink flamingos. Inland, you can enjoy the old town of Comacchio, criss-crossed by canals, with the impressive Trepponti and its museums. Along the coast the route takes in the Lidi di Comacchio, with their seven seaside centres that are ideal for summer holidays. Beyond the Lido di Volano, with its dense pine forest and the Po Nature Reserve, you come to the little oasis of Cannevié – Porticino and Taglio della Falce, where the Gran Bosco della Mesola cycle - walking lane begins, for a pleasant ride in the shade of the holm oaks and along the coastal dunes at Sacca di Goro.
