On January 7, 2026, Comacchio will be the protagonist of an event of extraordinary symbolic and international value: the passage of the Olympic flashlight of the Winter Olympics Milan Cortina.
The flame will make its entrance in the lagoon city during the stage that, starting from Cesenatico, will pass through Cervia and Ravenna before reaching the Ferrara territory. An evocative route that will combine sport, culture and landscape.
The Olympic flashlight will pass through some of the most fascinating views of the historic center of Comacchio, passing by the Ponte degli Sbirri and parading in front of the Town Hall, before continuing in the direction of Ferrara. There will be 43 torchbearers taking turns in carrying the flame to Piazza Castello, where the climax of the day will be held with the lighting of the Olympic brazier.
An unmissable event for citizens and visitors, who will have the opportunity to experience the excitement of the Olympic atmosphere up close and to discover Comacchio through an event capable of enhancing sports, territorial identity and the beauty of the landscape.
