Lido of Volano

Lido di Volano is the northernmost of the Seven Lidi of Comacchio and the closest to the naturalistic heart of the Po Delta. It owes its name to an ancient branch of the Po River and still retains an authentic character, ideal for those seeking tranquility and direct contact with the environment.

The wide and quiet beach, protected by a large pine forest, overlooks the Sacca di Goro and the great Delta, providing evocative scenery and relaxing atmospheres.

Here the often breezy sea makes the lido a reference point for sports such as kitesurfing and windsurfing. Here there is no shortage of modern and well-equipped establishments, also suitable for families.

Behind the sandy shore stretches a pine forest of about 169 hectares, part of the Po di Volano State Nature Reserve: an ideal environment for walks or bicycle rides, birdwatching and moments of authentic relaxation surrounded by greenery.

Lo Scannone di Volano, a panoramic strip of land between the sea and the pine forest, which can be traveled on foot or by bicycle. For a different perspective, the Valle Gaffaro airfield allows scenic flights over the Delta.
