Piazzetta Trepponti, Comacchio
"All the world's a joke... but every joke is man in his own mind" from Verdi's Falstaff comes the title of an evening that turns irony into philosophy.
A concert dedicated to the comic side of opera, featuring young soloists and the instrumental Ensemble of the Fondazione Luciano Pavarotti, taking the audience through a musical journey of seduction, benevolent deception, and wit — the classic themes of commedia dell'arte, told through comic arias by Mozart, Rossini, Donizetti, Offenbach, and Verdi.
On stage, three talented voices: Giuseppe Infantino (tenor), Eva Maccaggi (soprano), and Antimo Dell'Omo (baritone), accompanied by a chamber ensemble from the Foundation's orchestra, an intimate formation able to bring out the full richness of the original scores.
Now in its third consecutive year, the event stems from a collaboration between the Fondazione Pavarotti and the Municipality of Comacchio (supported by Made Eventi), continuing the Maestro's commitment to nurturing young opera talent and bringing opera to an ever wider audience.
A unique chance to be won over by opera in its lightest and most brilliant form, under the sky of Piazzetta Trepponti.
