Between Land and Water – A Themed Dinner Experience

Discover “Between Land and Water”, a themed dinner paying tribute to Cristoforo da Messisbugo, the renowned master of ceremonies at the Este Court.

A sensory journey through history and flavor, set in the evocative Manifattura dei Marinati in Comacchio.

Chef Simone Finetti presents a refined tasting experience that merges the grandeur of Renaissance cuisine with a contemporary, sustainable vision, celebrating the finest local ingredients from the Ferrara region.

Menu:
Snail salad
Mackerel garum, vanilla-flavored celeriac cream, valerian sauce
Maccheroni pie with white ragout of wild duck and sweetbreads, pine forest truffle béchamel.
Rice with eel broth, creamed with maritime pine butter and a sauce of bitter herbs from the pinewood.
“A Stroll in the Floodplain”: eel foie gras semifreddo, sour cherries, wild blackberries, elderflowers
White chocolate “soil” with dried fruit and pink pepper.

This event is part of the Renaissance Banquets series, a calendar of themed dinners and cultural experiences promoted within the framework of the Festina Lente project.

Funded by the Ministry of Tourism, this project is aimed at enhancing municipalities with strong tourism and cultural appeal, especially those hosting UNESCO World Heritage Sites or belonging to the UNESCO Creative Cities network.
