Teatri sull'Acqua

Summer brings back "Teatri sull'Acqua", the popular programme of shows dedicated to children and families across the seaside resorts of the Comacchio coast. Puppets, marionettes, clowning, puppet theatre and circus arts bring the squares and avenues to life through the end of August, in a season-long programme designed for young and old alike. All shows start at 9.15 pm and admission is free.

Horror Puppet Show – El Bechin
Marionettes, dancing skeletons and eccentric characters in a surreal show blending puppet theatre, comedy and gothic atmosphere.

13 July – Lido di Spina, Piazzale Caravaggio
Il bastone misterioso (The Mysterious Cane) – I Burattini di Mattia Zecchi
Fagiolino and Sganapino return for a new adventure full of laughter and twists.

15 July – Lido degli Estensi, Viale Leopardi
Mr. Maraviglia – Elia Nino Vignola
Fire, fakirism and comedy in a surprising, high-energy show.

20 July – Lido delle Nazioni, Capanno di Garibaldi
The Story of Pinocchio – Alberto De Bastiani
A single actor, a few wooden props and boundless imagination bring to life the famous tale of growing up.

22 July – Lido degli Scacchi, Viale Alpi Centrali
Casino Royale – La Combriccola dei Lillipuziani
Clowning, juggling and acrobatics in an unpredictable, hilarious adventure.

27 July – Lido di Volano, Piazzale Daini
Traditional Puppets – Massimiliano Venturi
Classic puppet theatre masks return in a series of sketches and farces reimagined for today's audiences.

29 July – Lido di Pomposa, Piazzetta Ballardini
Il furbo (The Cunning One) – Giorgio Gabrielli
A comic puppet tale of wit versus honesty, where honesty ultimately wins.

3 August – Lido delle Nazioni, Piazza Italia
Naufraghi per scelta (Castaways by Choice) – Los Filonautas
Tightrope walking, theatre, music and acrobatics in a poetic journey suspended between dream and reality.

5 August – Porto Garibaldi, Viale Ugo Bassi
Marionette Cabaret – Compagnia All'InCirco
Clowns, singing ghosts, robots and dancers come to life in a poetic and entertaining marionette show.

10 August – Lido di Spina, Piazzale Caravaggio
Sax-oh! Orchestra – Filippo Brunetti
An interactive musical show where the audience becomes part of an improvised orchestra.

12 August – Lido di Pomposa, Piazzetta Ballardini
Sganapino e l'acqua calda (Sganapino and the Hot Water) – I Burattini di Massimiliano Venturi
Sganapino returns for a new adventure full of comedy.

17 August – Lido di Volano, Piazzale Daini
Black Smilzo – 3DiDanè
Gags, juggling and poetic moments in an irreverent, surprising show.

19 August – Lido degli Estensi, Viale Leopardi
A ruota libera (Freewheeling) – Compagnia I 4 Elementi
Improvisation and visual comedy make the audience the true star of the show.

26 August – Lido degli Scacchi, Viale Alpi Centrali
Fagiolino pescatore (Fagiolino the Fisherman) – I Burattini di Mattia Zecchi
In the kingdom of Bellomare, Fagiolino must face a witch to break a spell and save the realm.

Suitable for children aged 3 and up, and for families. Free admission.
