Pet Friendly Beaches

Comacchio welcomes furry friends with dedicated spaces, golden sand and accommodation facilities ready to meet the needs of the whole family!

Along the coast, free beach areas have been reserved where you can access with your dog, in full respect of nature and shared rules:

• Lido di Spina – Free beach adjacent to Bagno Lido (30 m seafront, 50 m depth).
• Lido degli Estensi – Free beach section next to Blue Moon (30 m seafront, 100 m depth).
• Porto Garibaldi – Free beach area south of Park Emilio (30 m seafront, 50 m depth).
• Lido delle Nazioni – Privately owned free beach between Bagno Albatros and Bagno Mexico.
• Lido di Volano – Free beach section between Bagno Franco and Bagno New Age (30 m seafront, 25 m depth).

How to enjoy the beach together: a few rules, for a better sea

Access and regulations

• The dog must be regularly registered in the canine register.
• Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
• Owners must always provide fresh water and shade for the animal's wellbeing.
• Only healthy dogs free from parasites are permitted.
• Female dogs in heat are not allowed access.
• Picking up after your dog is mandatory; dedicated containers must be used.

During the summer season, staying or walking on the shoreline is not permitted, as this area is reserved for swimmers and children.

A swim together? Absolutely yes.
In the sea areas facing pet-friendly beaches, swimming with your dog is permitted during dedicated hours: up to 5 dogs at a time, with a maximum stay of 10 minutes each. The dog must remain on a leash and is the owner's sole responsibility.

Permitted hours
> APRIL · MAY · SEPTEMBER: from dawn to 10:00 and from 18:00 to sunset
> JUNE · JULY · AUGUST: from dawn to 7:00 and from 19:30 to sunset
> OCTOBER to MARCH: free access and swimming all day long
