Nestled in the green coastal pine forest, between the sea and nature, the Remo Brindisi House Museum is one of the most surprising cultural places in the Comacchio area. Located at Lido di Spina, it represents a unique combination of contemporary art, architecture and landscape.
Designed in the early 1970s by architect and designer Nanda Vigo at the behest of master Remo Brindisi, the structure was conceived with two different functions: a summer vacation home and a museum to house an extraordinary collection of 20th-century art. It is an iconic building, characterized by bright spaces, white or transparent walls, mirrors and a striking spiral staircase connecting the different levels.
The collection includes about two thousand works and is representative of the main Italian and international art currents of the 20th century, with outstanding names such as Picasso, Warhol, Fontana, Schifano, De Chirico, Bacon, Manzoni and many others.
A visit to the Remo Brindisi House Museum is an intimate and engaging experience, where art dialogues with the living spaces and the surrounding nature. The layout, curated by the Department of Culture, calls for works to be displayed in rotation.
An ideal place for those who wish to enrich their beach vacation with a high-levelcultural experience in a relaxed setting off the beaten path.
