Discovering an extraordinary territory like the Po Delta no longer requires a car. From summer 2026, tourists and residents alike can enjoy two new complementary initiatives that turn the journey itself into part of the experience, not simply a transport from A to B, but a different way of reading the landscape, meeting local communities and slowing down.

On one hand, the Valli Express, a minivan departing from the Lidi di Comachio (beaches) that takes you straight into the heart of the Comacchio Lagoons for a boat cruise among traditional fishing huts (casoni) and flamingos. On the other hand, A Spass, a project by Visit Romagna and Start Romagna that transforms the bus into a tool for guided discovery of the Romagna region.

Two projects, one single philosophy: let yourself be guided, with curiosity, towards the very best of this territory.

A Spass — Discover Romagna by Bus

"Andé a spass" in the Romagna dialect means to stroll without haste, letting yourself be guided by curiosity. From June 3rd to September 10th, 2026, the bus becomes an authentic tool for exploration—an integrated system of guided excursions combining sustainable mobility, culture, food and wine, nature, and local traditions. Three excursions touch Comacchio and its Lidi:

1. Po Delta Park and Comacchio: The Little Venice of the Delta

A universe of biodiversity to observe at every step. Reflections on the canals, the charm of fishing huts, and the authentic flavors of the Po Delta.A guided walk through the canals and most famous sights of Comacchio (Trepponti, Ponte degli Sbirri, Antico Ospedale degli Infermi), followed by a boat cruise in the Comacchio Lagoons among traditional fishing huts, birdlife, and pink flamingos. Tasting of traditional products in the heart of the lagoons.

Services included: Italian and English-speaking guide, boat cruise, tasting of local products.

2. Comacchio and the Po Delta Park: A City on the Water

A journey through monumental bridges, ancient manufactures, and authentic flavors that tell the soul of the Delta. A guided walk through the historic center of Comacchio touches upon the city's iconic monuments (such as the Trepponti and the Cathedral) and includes two main stops: the Ancient Delta Museum (Museo Delta Antico), for a historical journey from the Etruscan era to the Early Middle Ages, and the Marinated Fish Factory (Manifattura dei Marinati), where you can discover the traditional processing of eel in the Fire Room (Sala Fuochi). The experience ends with a tasting of local marinated products.

3. Ferrara — Renaissance Jewel

A journey through beauty spanning centuries. The Capital of the Renaissance reveals its noble soul through an irresistible blend of history, secrets, and local flavors.

Leave the car behind, your adventure in the Comacchio Lagoons starts right outside your door. The Po Delta Tourism minivan picks you up from the Lidi and Comacchio and takes you to Stazione Foce, where a pleasant boat cruise awaits you among water mirrors, ancient fishermen's huts, and elegant colonies of pink flamingos.
