Halloween in Comacchio

Comacchio has everything a Halloween night needs: bridges, canals and just the right alleyways. On 30 and 31 October, as dusk falls, the historic centre changes mood: lights shimmer on the water, shadows stretch between the houses, and the streets fill with creatures, fire and music.

A Halloween that winds through the town

The Trepponti, the Ponte degli Sbirri, the Clock Tower, the Antica Pescheria: each is a stop on a route of parades, installations, workshops and costumes, made for young and old alike. You might meet a five-metre winged dragon in Piazzale Luca Danese, follow the Devil’s Parade with its stilt-walking devils and fire instruments, or step into the Antica Pescheria for a horror trail of light, sound and costumed apparitions.

Shops and restaurants join in with themed window displays and special menus. Markets, a funfair and photo spots line the way, making this a festival to enjoy on foot, with no single route to follow.

The best part is letting the town lead you: follow a parade, pause at an installation, stumble upon a lively square, then set off for the next bridge.

Halloween Comacchio 2026

In 2026, Halloween Comacchio returns on 30 and 31 October, with two days of entertainment, shows, parades, workshops, markets and events spread across the historic centre.

It all starts at 11 am and runs until 2 am: by day, workshops, face painting and the Monster Treat Hunt for families; in the evening, shows and parades; and on Saturday, the grand finale with Lady 90, a nineties night on the steps of Piazzetta Trepponti.
