Eel Festival in Comacchio

Festival dedicated to the typical dish of Comaccho, the eel, with tasting of sea and valley fish dishes

Comacchio Eel Festival returns even this year, from September 28th to October 14th, with an amazing program full of opportunities for recreation, entertainment and tasting of food and wine, within the walls of the historic center of the beautiful city between land and water.

The star of early autumn event will be naturally eel, with special tasting menus that provide delicious traditional local recipes, prepared by Sailors of Comacchio and combined with DOC wines of Bosco Eliceo.
Starting from  Marinated appetizer from Comacchio until bitter-sweet Eel bragiolette, sedanini with eel sauce and penne with seafood, grilled eel with polenta, eel soup "a bec d'aesen" with polenta and even fish fried from the valley of Comacchio, cuttlefish with peas and polenta and traditional and innovative pizzas, like pizza" valleys with Eel, cooked in a wood oven.
The food stand in Fattibello street, behind Coop supermarket, will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11.30 am to 3.00 pm and from 6.00 pm to 10.00 pm.

For the occasion, is provided a rich calendar of shows, musical and literary events, excursions, performances and more.
It’s going to be an event involving thousands of tourists and visitors during three weeks of festivities, through good food, entertainment and lots of fun.
